Service includes:
1. Complete tear down.
2. Detailed cleaning of entire reel.
3. Synthetic grease used on all gears.
4. Drags re-greased with Shimano Drag Grease.
5. Bearings lubed with top of the line Yellow Rocket Fuel Oil.
6. Re-assembled and adjusted.

Repairs and Parts are also available and will be handled on a 'case by case' basis.

Several months ago I reeled up a Shimano Calais off the bottom of the lake and by the looks of it, it had been down there several months. It was in terrible shape and locked up. I didn't hesitate and sent the reel to Michael. I told him I really didn't want to sink a lot of money into something that I'd found and if it was possible for him to get it working for me, close to normal.
The day he received it he called me and said he was finished with it! He sent the reel back the next day and when I opened it up to see the insides, the reel looked like new. With his professionalism, he had taken a piece of lake trash and turned it into a working piece of equipment for me to use.

He "hooked" me up big time. Sent two reels to him the other day, one of them in pieces in a sandwich bag. He cleaned them up, put them back together (even replaced some missing parts) and sent them back quick! The reels are silky smooth and ready to go!!

Sent some reels off to Michael for some maintenance. Got em back this week and I had about an hour between work and the thunderstorms so I went out to see how well they work....WOW!
Great work! I sent him a Pfleuger that I've been using and abusing for 8 or 9 years. Thought it had finally bit the dust this year but Michael fixed 'er right up. The most impressive job was on some BPS reel that I got maybe 1 season out of. I sent it think "what the heck I've got nothing to lose". Well that reel that I wrote off a few years ago is now just as smooth as my Johnny Morris' and Browning! I couldn't believe it. Great work at a great price.

Sent Michael a Shimano Chronarch SF reel last week that had a loose handle, grinding and very dirty. He received the reel and turned it around the next day. Got it in the mail today.....Super job and great service. Works like new....he'll be getting a bunch of mine in the near future.

Sent Mike a couple reels to get repaired and cleaned. Quick service and I couldn't believe the awesome job. I'm tempted to tie on a couple of heavyweight spinnerbaits to see if they'll break through the ice but I guess I'll have to wait. My Tx partner and I sent some reels to Mike for cleaning and repair. Well, we just got them back today and they are awesome. He cleaned them and replaced a few parts that they needed.

Guys, I want to give a BIG THUMBS UP to Mike Stranz! I have a Shimano Scorpion 1000 mg that needed some attention. The reel would cast fine, but it was making a bit of noise on the retrieve. I checked with a couple of places and most wouldn't evern touch it since it was a Japanese model, not a US model. Mike said send it on and he'd take a look at it.
I shipped the reel out last Saturday, hoping I would get it back in time for my 1st club Tx in late February. (The normal turn around I've come to expect especially this time of year). Mike contacted me on Tuesday and said he found some corrosion in the reel and he could take care of it.
Well, I go to the mail box an hour ago and there's my reel!! One week turn around service!!
I just finished mounting the reel and spooling it back up. It casts better than it ever did and is smooth as silk!

Just want to say that if you are looking for any type of reel repair Stranz is the best! I sent him a reel the first of last week that I professionally screwed up (trying to fix it myself), sent it to him on Tuesday and got it back Friday and it works better now than it did when I bought it! And believe it or not he's cheaper than the local reel shops. I highly recommend him and will use him for every reel cleaning or repair I need. Thanks!

The other day, Mike and I got together to talk fishin' and what not, and the topic of his Reel Clean business came up. Long story short, he took one of my Presidents, and let me tell ya, the work is phenomenal. It works, I would say, better than new! I have several Presidents, and have to say it works better than any of them, even the newer ones. Mike made a good point to me, the companies don't service the reels from the factory as they should, they over-service them with grease and oil, which hampers the performance. Mike pointed out that when he services the reels with a high quality synthetic lube, they WILL work BETTER than new. His products back that up. If you can't tell, I'm highly impressed! Along with my reel, he has also cleaned/serviced several of my father in law's reels, and let me tell ya, a few of them have seen better days, but he brought them back to life. I look forward to giving him the rest of my reels!!

I sent two Curados that were in bad need of a cleaning. Both reels were off my spinnerbait rods so they had a tremendous workout the last couple of years. I always worry about giving them a good clean because I figure I won't get all the parts back in the right places!! So I sent them to Mike Stranz and man, let me tell you what, I thought I got 2 brand new reels back!!
